DIY & Personalized Magnet Gifts

Get in the gift giving spirit with these custom, homemade and DIY magnetic gift ideas.

Poetry Magnets

Poetry magnetics are fun and creative kits made up of individual words and phrases printed on magnets. They allow users to write poems and letters and stick them to the fridge or other magnetic receptive surface. They make excellent gifts for budding writers and creative kids with lots of themes to pick from or you can create your own custom poetry kit.

School or Sport Photo Magnets

Turn this year’s school or sport portraits into memorable photo magnets to give to your family members. By adhering the portrait to a magnetic backing, friends and family can easily (and proudly) display their favorite student or sport star’s photo on any metal surface.

Magnetic Greeting Cards

Photo cards have become the latest trend in holiday greeting cards. Take it one step further and send your photo greeting card as a magnet. You can personalize the front with photos, designs, holiday greetings and more. It can even be cut to any size or shape you want and printed  onto a flat, fully magnetic backing that can easily be mailed.

Cloths Pin Fridge Magnets

Super cute and as easy as it sounds, first you take some wooden clothes pins and decorate them however you want – or leave them plain for a natural look. Then attach a piece of magnetic tape to one side. Now you have a magnetic clip that can be used to hold photos, to-do lists and other important documents while also decorating your fridge. Make a set and give them as a gift with a photo.

Magnetic Broach

This DIY uses a magnet in place of a traditional pin to keep clothing and accessories hole free. Start by making your broach. Felt, fabric or jeweled appliques work great, but anything a magnet can hold will work. Then peel and stick an adhesive-backed steel disc to the back of your creation. The “pin” is then secured in place by a magnetic disc placed on the underside of the garment.
